Mushroom V2 is a free tapestry crochet pattern shared by SlootLoops in the Pixlaine community. It is 60 stitches wide and 60 rows high, in 11 colours.
Open it in Pixlaine to follow it row by row: each row lists its colour changes with the number of stitches, the rows you tick are saved as you go, and you get a yarn estimate for every colour and a printable PDF. It is free, and you do not need an account.
From the maker
I've never actually done tapestry crochet before, but I had a lot of fun playing with this tool. I'm sure you could make this in many other art forms too. Started with a royalty free mushroom as the reference image and tweaked the design. If you didn't want to use that many greens I'm sure doing a solid background would be fine too.
About this technique
Tapestry crochet works a picture in rows of single crochet, carrying the colours you are not using inside the stitches. Each square of the grid is one stitch, so the chart reads like pixel art, and the same grid also works for intarsia, graphgan blankets and knitting.
